I spent an idyllic weekend at a nearby resort with a group of 40 sum highly-energetic college kids. Sorta made me feel like an ole’ dog but what the heck, it’s time to be older and lazier, anyways. Cherie and I shared a cottage with a couple of rats that would do marathon runs up on the ceiling at night. But it was no big deal lah… We were just too happy to be out of The Campus. We didn’t join in much activities as we wanted to live up to the old dogs status. But for a drastic change, we went hiking for about two hours on the second day up a nearby little hill where the White Buddha statue dwells. Aiyo-yo… Later, my poor rusty lower limbs ached like *tooooot*. You know how it is, your feet seems to be begggging for replacements after an uncalled for exercise. So anyways, I’ve been walking semi-kangkang (err.. limping) for two days now. Tonight I’ll post up some pictures taken via Cherie’s digicam. Will develop the film from my Nikon later. But here’s what to expect tonight: Three grinning fools. A field of bunga taye ayam (I forgot the English name for it…) and some more taye ayam and more taye ayam…
Pretending to Work July 24, 2002
Buddhist Lent Holiday! But here I am in the office working (or pretending to be) to make up for the extra off days I took earlier this month. It’s sooo comfortingly silent here in this building — oh, except for the tattooing coughs from my boss next door. Yes, she decided to come in as well (probably checking on me!). Sorry, boss… I spent 50% of today on personal email and surfing. How’s that for a report? Hehehe… Speaking of work, I came across this spoof article about the worst job. Hmmmm… He he he. Hmehehehehe. HAHAHAA!!
Tired July 23, 2002
It’s only Tuesday and I’m already tired… Hmmm… It’s just one of those days when you decidedly think you lack the oxygen to think or imagine insufficient neuron stimulation (konon). But whatever the excuse, you end of slouching in front of your PC/TV/desk mulling over your super-boring state and wondering why you are in the pits (and if you’re not in one, you create several). And so, the point is… What’s my point ahr? apabahsayasakapinisayapuntidatau…
Back to Reality July 9, 2002
I’m back in Muak Lek. My short escapade is over and today’s my first day of work. I’m still basking in the residue of my wonderful vacation that it feels surreal. Only 11 days but it seems like I’ve been away for a month. There are things to write and stories to share but… *yawn* I’m soooo darn sleepy. Sometime this week I’ll get down to writing, ja?
